'A Painted Melodic Words'

In my life and art always get inspired by music cause as the philosopher Roger Scruton. Once said ‘Art and music shine a light of meaning on ordinary life, and through them we are able to confront the things that trouble us and to find consolation and peace in their presence.’
Also my favorite music has played and still playing an important role as an <associate> to my creations, mindset and artistic approach & expression. I could say that music get involve, mentor, accompany my hand in all my crafts.

Music is my company… always with a glass of wine of course, so in this post I would like to share some of my favorite songs, a playlist from a lovely musicians and bands, which its context and content talk about artists and art… especially its visual expression.

Music and art have long been intertwined, with artists finding inspiration in one another’s creations.

Well sharing four of the most significant… beautiful elements of our society, art, artists, music and musicians.

In this article, I’ve created a list of 13 songs about visual art and artists!

Through the ages, musicians have written songs about art that capture the essence and beauty of some of the world’s greatest masterpieces. From rock and pop to classical and folk, these songs celebrate the power of art to move us, inspire us, and transport us to other worlds.
“Andy Warhol” by David Bowie and tribute to the godfather of POP ART! Andy Warhol looks a scream, hang him on my wall, Andy Warhol silver screen, can't tell them apart at all.’

“Artists Only” by Talking Heads is an energetic and eccentric new wave style song that celebrates the creativity and individuality of artists. The song’s lyrics urge artists to follow their own path and break free from conformity.

“Pablo Picasso” by The Modern Lovers is a catchy and irreverent tribute to the legendary Spanish artist. The song’s lyrics playfully list Picasso’s famous works and his unconventional lifestyle.  Many years later David Bowie made a wonderful version of the song.

‘’All the Rowboats’’ by Regina Spektor is about the way art is treated in museums. ’First there’s lights out, then there’s a lock up, masterpieces serving maximum sentences, It’s their own fault for being timeless’.

‘’Art Star’’ by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, an ironic short song who speaks about the arrogance of how some famous contemporary artists react and behave.

‘’Modern Art’’ by Art Brut  I believe this nice indie song got inspired by Matthew Colling’s documentary series ‘This is Modern Art’, 'MODERN ART MAKES ME WANT TO ROCK OUT!'

’’L.E.S. Artists’’ by Santigold, and as she said " The song is about me moving back to New York, feeling really vulnerable, wanting to be an artist soaking up all simulation creatively but at the same time staying introverted and in my own mind. At the same time, it's about being accosted by the New York scene and the scenesters and hipsters, who are really not artists and are just pretending to be. They're all about just being seen.’

’'Painted Word’’ by Television Personalities, every word is a color, picture and feeling. Arts are the ultimate expression of our deepened feelings… ‘But if a picture paints a thousand words, then I will paint a book for youand you can read between the linesthe truth, whole truth, nothing but the truth.’

’’Primitive Painters’’ by Felt, and as Lawrence said 'Primitive painters are ships floating on an empty sea, gathering in galleries.' Imagine really cool kids hanging out in galleries, not pubs. I'd always find myself in a gallery on my own.’

“The Art Teacher” by Rufus Wainwright is a tender and nostalgic song that tells the story of a schoolgirl’s crush on her art teacher. The song’s lyrics paint a vivid picture of the girl’s admiration for the teacher’s creativity and his influence on her own artistic development.

“Interiors (Song for Willem de Kooning)” by Manic Street Preachers is an intense and moody song that pays tribute to the Dutch-American abstract expressionist painter Willem de Kooning. The song’s lyrics evoke the artist’s turbulent personal life and his groundbreaking work.

“Magritte” by John Cale is a haunting and experimental song that takes inspiration from the surrealism of Belgian artist René Magritte. The song’s lyrics are enigmatic and abstract, evoking the dreamlike quality of Magritte’s paintings.
